About Muscular Conditions

Your dog has around 700 muscles that are typically not assessed for injury during an allopathic veterinary appointment. There is alot that can go wrong in this under appreciated system with not just muslces but also the Connective Tissue or Fasica as well as Tendons or Ligaments. A massive 45% of your dogs body weight is muscle and when this is affected you may see your dog lame, stiff, old overnight, sore, unwilling to go on walks/get in or out of car/ go up/down stairs, has lost their sparkle as well as a whole host of mobility issues.

When left untreated these issues will have a knock on effect making your dog shift their weight, alter their posture, gait or body shape and generally seem as if they have aged overnight or are just being uncooperative.

Natalie specialises in finding soft tissue injuries with dogs and has become reknowned for her incredibly sensitive palpation skills meaning that she can often just spend a couple of minutes with a dog and be able to give very specific information on what the injury is, where it is and the cause of it before going on to treat it  with Advanced Canine Massage Techniques.
