HeartMath for Guardians
& their Dogs
Live the science & research for yourself… your heart is broadcasting an electromagnetic signal your dog is already reading.
Learn how to actively take conscious control of that signal so you can see and feel the fast, direct, and positive effects that has on you and your dog.
Feeling is believing.
Your heart generates the most powerful electromagnetic field in your body.
Whilst many people already understand that their heart generates an electrical current what they don’t realise is that field extends several feet beyond the body…
Research from the HeartMath Institute has established that the human heart produces the largest rhythmic electromagnetic field of any organ in the body. Its electrical activity is 60 times greater in amplitude than the brain's. Its magnetic field is measurable several feet away from the body in all directions and it carries information, specifically, information about your emotional state. Felt by both you and your dog.
This isn’t a metaphor, it is measurable physics that can be measured.
When HeartMath researchers fitted ECG monitors to both a boy and his dog and had the boy consciously direct feelings of love toward his pet, something remarkable happened. The boy's heart rhythms shifted into coherence, and his dog's heart rhythms followed without physical contact or verbal cues. The shift happened through the electromagnetic field alone. When the boy left the room, the dog's heart rhythms became chaotic and consistent with separation anxiety.
What this tells us is that your dog is not simply responding to your behaviour. They are responding to your physiology. To the invisible signal your heart is continuously broadcasting. Every moment you are with your dog, that signal is being received, isn’t that incredible?
The question is: what is your heart field saying?
Stress creates a measurably disordered heart signal.
Your dog feels that disorder before you're even aware of it.
Learn the art of conscious heart coherence with us.
HeartMath research published in the American Journal of Cardiology demonstrated that emotions like frustration and anxiety produce erratic, jagged heart rhythm patterns or what scientists call incoherence. Positive emotions such as genuine appreciation and care produce smooth, sine-wave-like patterns referred to as coherence. The difference is measurable on a heart rhythm trace and is transmitted through the body's electromagnetic field to those around us.
Dogs, through millennia of co-evolution with humans, have become extraordinarily sensitive to these signals. They are not misbehaving or broken. They are responding with precision to what your nervous system is actually doing.
This course exists for that gap and as a Licensed HeartMath coach I’ve taken the science and teachings of Heartmath and bought it into a new paradigm especially for you and your dog (and other animals!). Because this doesn’t rely on any hands on techniques you can do this with your cats, rabbits, horses, birds… in fact any animal that you want to experience a deeper state of consistent connection with.
Between your intention and what your physiology is actually transmitting we provide you with a HRV app that you will be able to monitor your results with in real time. There is so much evidence base and scientific research on HeartMath but feeling is believing..
Between knowing your dog or other animal feels your stress and having a trained, evidence-based way to shift it in real time, measurably, with your dog beside you you can experience the magic of HeartMath together. You can take this into the field with you (literally!) with your horses, dogs or other animals as once you learn and master the techniques they can go anywhere with you.
Heart coherence is a measurable physiological state
Heart coherence, also called cardiac coherence, is defined by HeartMath researchers as a state in which heart rhythms become ordered and harmonious, producing a smooth, rhythmic pattern at approximately 0.1 Hz. In this state, the autonomic nervous system shifts toward parasympathetic dominance, heart-brain synchronisation increases, and the body's physiological systems entrain with each other. Cognitive function improves. Emotional regulation improves. Stress hormones reduce. The heart's electromagnetic field becomes more ordered and more ordered fields have been shown to influence the physiology of those nearby.
Crucially, this state is not passive and it is not something that happens to you. It is a skill, one that over 400 independent peer-reviewed studies have validated as learnable, measurable, and teachable, including the HeartMath Institute's own three decades of published research.
And when a person in coherence is in proximity to their dog or other animal, the animals nervous system can entrain with the humans. The research demonstrates it and it is the exercises, techniques and practice that makes it reliable.
This course teaches you how.

The research behind this course
The HeartMath Institute has published over three decades of peer-reviewed research into heart rate variability, heart-brain coherence, and the electromagnetic communication that occurs between living systems. Key findings that directly underpin this course:
- The heart's magnetic field is measurably stronger than the brain's and can be detected several feet from the body in all directions (McCraty, The Energetic Heart, 2003)
- Heart rhythm patterns change measurably with emotional state — and this information is encoded in and transmitted through the heart's electromagnetic field (McCraty et al., American Journal of Cardiology, 1995)
- When one person is in a coherent state, their heart's electromagnetic signal can influence the brain rhythms of people nearby even without physical contact (HeartMath Institute research, The Electricity of Touch)
- Documented heart-rhythm entrainment between a boy and his dog: when the boy consciously directed feelings of love toward his dog, the dog's heart rhythms shifted into coherence. When he left, they became chaotic. No physical contact was involved. (McCraty, The Energetic Heart, 2003)
- Heart coherence is a learnable, trainable state. Over 400 independent peer-reviewed studies support HeartMath's methodology (HeartMath Institute research library)
- Practicing coherence consistently creates measurable physiological repatterning — establishing increased emotional stability and nervous system resilience as a new baseline (McCraty & Tomasino, Stress in Health and Disease, 2006)
About Natalie
“As a certified and licensed HeartMath Institute Coach I can’t wait to bring this life-changing experience to you so you can try it for yourself with your dogs and other animals. People are often looking for the one thing that will help their connection with their animals and this is it.
It can be a stand-alone practice, or even better, you quietly integrate it into everyday life. It is a quiet, personal experience—it’s not a light show—but the beauty of doing this with our animals is they will reflect this and mirror it back to you so you can see it for yourself as well as feeling it for yourself.
This is something that can be learned, requires practice, and can become a lifelong tool if you want it to be. I use it every time I teach in the classroom or online, when I walk my dogs, when I’m stressed or feeling disconnected. This brings me back to a different place that positively influences my work with dogs, people, and in my own life.
I look forward to sharing it with you and your animals.”
FAQs
Your dog has been reading your heart signal their whole life.
This is how you learn to make it one worth reading.
The science is clear. The electromagnetic field your heart broadcasts is continuous, measurable, and already influencing your dog's nervous system. This course gives you the tools — evidence-based, taught live, practiced together — to take conscious, intentional control of that signal. And to watch what changes when you do.
